For our client, the Get Easy Job social networking site, which is to be an innovative platform for exchange of information between employers and contractors, and which will aid in finding additional payable jobs, we created a functional design of a system of operation containing a detailed description of placement and principles of operation of particular components of the created site.
What exactly does the functional design for our client consist in?
It portrays how the final version of the designed system will operate, how the user will interact with it and it provides a preview of the appearance and placement of the key components. The mockups created within the functional design are based on schemes and do not take into account the colours, style or final text assumed in the project. They focus on a presentation and arrangement of page components and describe the method of their functioning, according to the expectations of the client.
Functional design usually relates to the development of the homepage and the key subpages of the system while covering such components as:
- Previews of the main subpages (mockup)
- Specification of the system aims and methods of their execution
